Winners of the Student Competition of the 29th International Poster Biennale

09 July 2025

This diversity is clearly reflected in the works on display – both in their aesthetics and thematic content. The exhibition becomes a space of encounter between different perspectives and creative approaches to questions of finding one’s place in the world, agency within it, relationships with the surrounding environment, and the redefinition of progress and process. The students’ aspect of the exhibition is also worth emphasizing – the thoughtful reflection of the young generation on the direction in which we are headed, and the extent to which they – as young people – are able to shape and influence it. Through the posters on view, we gain insight into the challenges faced by today’s youth, into what moves and inspires them, and what they consider truly important.

This exhibition is, above all, dedicated to fostering international integration among students of art faculties. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who took part in the competition and, through our favourite medium – poster – expressed their own unique interpretation of the theme. To all the artists, we offer our sincere gratitude and congratulations for the beautiful and insightful works you have shared with us.

Out of hundreds of submitted entries, the selection committee — acting in the form of a curatorial duo — has chosen 106 artists whose works are being presented in the exhibition.

Subsequently, the jury, composed of: Ula Tofil, Borys Kosmynka, Michał Łukasik, as well as the exhibition curators, Maria Pakier and Maria Mencwel, has awarded three main prizes and sixteen honourable mentions.
