27th International Poster Biennale in Warsaw 2021

The 26th International Poster Biennale to be extended till the end of August

We are pleased to announce that due to the great interest in this year’s edition of the International Poster Biennale – the oldest and one of the world’s most recognizable artistic events dedicated to poster art – it is to be extended until August 31, 2018. For poster news, please feel free to visit the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts any time until the end of the summer holidays!

We cordially invite you to THE EXHIBITION OF THE MAIN COMPETITION – a review of 245 posters designed between 2015 and 2018 by prominent artists and designers from around the world, to be seen in the Salon Gallery at ul. Krakowskie Przedmieście 5 (entrance from Traugutta Street), Tuesdays to Sundays from 12.00 to 18.00.
There is also an exhibition of works by the jurors of this year’s International Poster Biennale in the lobby of the Czapski Palace (the building housing the offices of the Rector of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts).

Marking the 100th anniversary of Poland’s independence and similar anniversaries in other countries of the region, the EXHIBITION OF THE THEMATIC COMPETITION “Niepodległa” (Independent), evoking such values as independence, freedom, community, community and cultural identity, nationhood, brotherhood / solidarity, and tolerance, presents posters (selected from among 848 entries) by 78 artists from 18 countries. The exhibition can be viewed daily between 10:00 and 20:00 in the courtyard of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts at 5, Krakowskie Przedmiescie.

We also invite you to the PROM Kultury gallery on ul. Brukselska 23 in Warsaw and an exhibition accompanying the 26th International Poster Biennale entitled “Image and letter”, presenting selected posters and typefaces designed by students, graduates and educators of the Graphics Department of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts, focusing on letters and their relationship with images.
