The announcement of the pre-selection results
Qualified posters to the final stage of the Main Competition and Thematic Competition.
Dear colleagues, fellow graphic artists!
The 26th International Poster Biennale in Warsaw will involve two competitions – one main and the other thematic. We have invited 100 outstanding graphic designers to participate – by entering two posters each – in the main competition, and have also asked each of them to recommend another graphic designer, who will be invited to enter one poster each for this competition. However, the thematic competition is open to all who wish to enter up to 3 works, and involves the values of independence, freedom, brotherhood / solidarity, and community-based identity.
The official opening of the 26th International Poster Biennale in Warsaw will take place on June 9th 2018 at 18:00 at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts.
We are presently preparing the Biennale’s entire program, with a list of all the accompanying events and will be publishing the exact details in the near future, but I can already announce some of those planned:
June 8th at 18:00 – the opening of the exhibition at the Poster Museum in Wilanow, celebrating that admirable institution’s 50th anniversary;
June 9th and 10th from 10:00 to 14:00 in the Lecture Hall of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts – conferences will be held with the participation of outstanding design specialists – entry is free;
On June 9th at 18:00 we invite you to the exhibition “Open Academy”, where we will present works by students of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts – among others, those specializing in Polish posters;
From July 2nd to 7th, prominent specialists will be conducting International Graphic Design Workshops – participation in these will involve an entry fee.
The public and we ourselves can also look forward to many other attractive exhibitions, events and related gatherings.
June belongs to graphics and Warsaw aims to celebrate that fact!
