Within the framework of the 26th International Poster Biennale in Warsaw there will be a thematic competition open to all. The Thematic Competition aims to celebrate this year’s 100th anniversary of independence being re-established by Poland and similar anniversaries in other countries of the region. 1918 saw the independence aspirations of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia being fulfilled, the creation of a bi-national independent state – Czechoslovakia – being proclaimed, and a year earlier the establishment of Finland. This competition aims to evoke such values as independence, freedom, community, community and cultural identity, nationhood, brotherhood/solidarity, and tolerance. Everyone who meets the competition’s conditions may participate. Each participant may submit a maximum of 3 entries.
Designs should be sent in the form of a print and a digital file by April 20th.
1. Each of the invited designers is required to send digital versions of the posters submitted for the thematic competition, these to be used to prepare a catalogue and for the purpose of promoting the 26th Biennale.
2. One printed copie of each work entered in the competition should be sent or delivered to the office of the 26th International Poster Biennale in Warsaw (with labels affixed in the upper right-hand corner containing information about the work and designer). Together with a completed Entry Form and signed Declaration.
Labels and entry forms are available to download below. The detailed information to be found in the Regulations.
